In January 2024, we launched a new website, elevating our college identity, expanding our reach to prospective students and providing more ways to connect with our current students. It strengthens our ability to offer a true, student-centered experience for all our students.

The website also allows us to showcase our phenomenal alumni and pinpoint new ways for our vast alumni network to connect and engage with the college. The alumni page highlights the achievements and careers of several College of Education graduates and indicates different ways you can become involved—from sharing your own stories and achievements to updating your alumni profile and discovering ways your giving can impact students, faculty and programs in the college. You can also follow our various social media accounts, purchase your own College of Education custom merch, and get key updates on the progress of our new building.

The College of Education is creating a Doctor of Physical Therapy program to address the critical need for physical therapists in rural areas of Alabama and beyond. This new program will produce exceptionally prepared healthcare providers, generate groundbreaking research opportunities and provide meaningful community engagement.

Construction has been under way on our new building at the corner of West Samford Avenue and Duncan Drive since July 2023. Our tentative move-in date is Spring 2025. Throughout the construction process, our college has hosted multiple events to promote our new home and we look forward to many more.
